Ok, so much for waiting... my first thought waking up this morning (I know, scary) was...what does it mean that Shannon ISN'T on the Flt 815 but Desmond IS on the plane, sitting next to Jack?!? That this reboot isn't just a reboot. Things, some things, are very different. If Desmond is on the plane (and I have some little inkling with the whole way he just sat down, not his real seat, and later disappearance, that perhaps this is not what it seems) and not on his sailboat does that mean (oh my!) that there also is NO PENNY?!?!?!?! Could that mean that something is also different with Widmore? He never got off the island to have a daughter, perhaps because...the Island was destroyed back in the new 1977?
So, that led my brain to thinking...does the coming war between the Others and Smokey lead to the Island's destruction - the END that Jacob alluded to in last year's The Incident? And what will the reboot look like for the new 2004?
The problem I had with Jack's Reboot plan was that while for some of the Flt 815 passengers not ever landing on the Island may be a good thing (mostly the people who died there) but for some never getting there - this new reality - may not be so great: Kate, Penny and Desmond, the Others on the Island and of course, Rose.
But there are about 15 more hours of LOST to go to answer my endless questions.
Namaste
